| Topic | What exactly made Battletoads & Double Dragon "The Ultimate Team"? |
| Turducken 01/14/20 10:58:28 AM #1: | I mean that's a pretty lofty title and I must say it leaves me confused. Like, look, I get what the Toads bring to the table. They've got the tech, they've got the vehicles, they've got the communications systems, a friggin' spaceship, they've got the muscle and the the brains too thanks to Prof. T. Bird, they've got wild transmogrifying attacks that turn their hands and feet into drills, hammers, chainsaws, battleaxes... The part that gets me confused is how adding a pair of martial artists to that mix ends up with The Ultimate Team? And don't get me wrong, I love the Double Dragons--even more than the Toads, in fact. But it's simple math that they don't really have anything to offer beyond being pretty good hand-to-hand fighters! No weapons, no special skills, no knowledge to share really, it's like, c'mon man!
