i don't know that i've seen an emperor moth. a few imperial moths, some luna moths, a cecropia, and a surprising number of polyphemus moths.

what other big saturniids does the eastern us get??

I've never seen Imperial or Regal. I may have once had an Imperial caterpillar near me when I was a kid. There was a pine tree I liked to climb in my yard and one time I was standing near it and I saw a massive caterpillar shit just fall on the ground under the tree. I climbed up to try and find it but was not successful. I would absolutely love to have a Hickory Horned Devil. Those things are fucking majestic.

Seen some Luna, a few Cecropia and a bunch of Polyphemus (My parents have a birch tree next to their house that they found cocoons under several years in a row. I was never visiting at the times they emerged though unfortunately). There are some others but I've never seen any, such as Promethea and Cynthia (I think the latter are more in the south though).
