This is arguably the real problem - the show is just set in a similar sort of world that extrapolates from the original, but has almost nothing to do with it (other than cameos shoe-horned in to emphasis the connection). You could easily make this sort of show as a unique property that has almost nothing to do with the Watchmen brand at all and there'd be almost no meaningful difference. For some people, that will be a positive (especially if they like the story being told, and didn't necessarily like or understand the context of the original). For others, it will be a negative (especially if they loved the original story, or find the new story to be pointless, derivative, or not as enjoyable). For Alan Moore, it will probably be an abomination and an atrocity bordering on war crime, but to be fair, Alan Moore hates everyone and everything so he was going to feel that way no matter what it was like (especially because he hates everything DC does with the universe outside of the original story). --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ...
