"When I was poor and complained about inequality they said I was bitter; now that I'm rich and I complain about inequality they say I'm a hypocrite. I'm beginning to think they just don't want to talk about inequality.
Russell Brand

TC saw this and decided to do the mental gymnastics to reverse it

Man Russell Brand is an idiot but that is a great quote

Not really. This idea that people don't want to talk about inequality is false. Everyone wants to f***ing talk about it, look how many posts every topic about it attracts.

Look how many posts bowsette attracted

We're a tiny minority and half of us are just dismissing it like Brand pointed out

In the mainstream and major political figures? They are absolutely not talking about it. Its against their party and lobbyists interests

Politicians are constantly talking about inequality. The Dem debates are all about healthcare and social safety nets. Even the republican debates talked about it (LOL) and it's sure to come up in the general election.

The problem is no one knows what to do about it. Frankly, Andrew Yang has it right in that technology is creating an inherently more unequal society. The question is what are we gonna do about it? Human nature isn't getting any better, so are we going to rely on more government force to redistribute? To what limit?

People rightly suspect Mark Ruffalo is a hypocrite because imagine Elizabeth Warren gets elected and she immediately institutes a 2% wealth tax. What do you think Mark Ruffalo and all the other wealthy people are gonna do? They're gonna move their assets into tax havens to avoid the tax. So, yes, I do get annoyed when these wealthy people complain about inequality because I think the extent to which they care about it is extremely limited
