ECW presents Fight the Power
Friday Week 1, June 1996

We open in the ring, as The Rock takes on Mustapha Saed. Rock showboats a bit for the crowd, and Saed makes him pay a couple of times, but the youngster prevails all the same. (D) Chavo attempts to enlist the services of Missy Hyatt, but she prefers real men like Rock. (D+)

The Pitbulls are up next, defending their tag belts against Dreamer and Windham. The challengers start strong, but a couple of crossed wires put the momentum back on the champions' side, and Dreamer winds up getting pinned shortly thereafter. (D+) Dreamer and Windham argue a bit over who was at fault for the finish, but then they shake hands and make up. They leave togeth- Windham blindsides Dreamer as he's leaving the ring! Windham slams Dreamer on the arena floor before scoffing and walking away. (C+)

We go from title to title as Christian Cage (who is NOT the New Meanie, why would you even bring that up?) makes his in-ring debut challenging Taz for the TV belt. The kid makes an impressive effort, but Taz gets the win. (D+) We follow that up with a Jericho/La Parka grudge match. Jericho finds himself on the receiving end of a long string of japes, but ultimately pulls out a win. (D+)

In a rather extreme case of mood whiplash, this is followed by a bowling shoe ugly brawl between Big & Strong and Cactus Jack and Sabu. Senior official Jim Molineaux gives them plenty of leeway, and the four men make good use of it to destroy themselves. Ultimately the heels' teamwork and power outlast the faces' crazy spots. (C+; Bigelow suffers an abdominal sprain)

Our main event has Too Cold Scorpio defending his shiny new ECW Title against Scott Steiner. With most of his friends already spent for the evening, Scorpio struggles against the numbers game with Rick Steiner and William Alfonso providing assistance from ringside. Scorpio seems to be in a bit of trouble.....but wait, here comes Shane Douglas....and Mikey Whipwreck! They storm the ring and blindside a confused Steiner! The pair takes out the Network reinforcements as Scorpio looks on in confusion. That'll be a DQ win for Scott, but that's not what he wanted tonight. (C-) Scorpio extends a tentative hand to the interlopers, but Douglas slaps it away! He announces that he and Whipwreck are sick of ECW, but also sick of the Network....so they are forming....THE WOLFPAC! (C)

@5tarscream , your prize is to choose somebody to join either the Network (Steiners, Jericho, Chavo, Alfonso) or the Wolfpac! (Douglas, Whipwreck) You can do that by PM or publicly, your call.

(guess whose idea the Wolfpac was >__>)
