Automation is gonna happen whether you like it or not. Which is the point of Yang putting in the VAT and the UBI.

Oh. I known its going to happen. I still dont like it. And shit will hit the fan if they dont have a real plan for fixing everything that automation is going to fuck up...

But they won't lose money because they re selling more......sure the prices may go up a bit but I highly doubt everything is gonna go up by $1000 dollars. Every company would have to agree to this process increase and new companies will want to undercut them and get more sales. It would be pretty insane for everyone to increase prices. These are competitive businesses, if someone wants to increase prices another won't and get more sales. People on government assistance will get money either way. Government assistance had many problems and you can lose it easily or outright refused. Those on government assistance usually have families and there are at least 2 adults. Which brings in $2000 the household. Likely the government assistance will be giving less money then the UBI or its restricting on what you can buy or do.

No matter which way you look at it, UBI is necessary and the VAT is necessary to support it. Companies will also understand that the VAT is much cheaper then being forced to raise minimum wage and pay for employee healthcare. So yang's plan of adding in single payer health coverage helps ease that burden. Which also helps businesses from raising prices. Yang's overall plan will help the economy immensely on both the business side and consumer side.

The country inflation and housing is already skyrocketing. Their is really no way to help without the government directly taking everything over and that isn't a good idea.

See. Thats the thing. Youre assuming they will. Theres no proof of that. But they might not. The most likely scenario is they sell about he same amount. With 78% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck, most would want to put the money into bills theyve been having trouble with. Well, whatever they have left after the raising prices... New companies will try to undercut, but they might not be able to. If theyre selling the same thing, they also have to pay more to get the item, as well. But if people have to pay more for the same thing, they would probably go with a company they know and trust rather than a new one... And they might have to increase the prices to not end up losing money. Its not that they want to, but have to. Those, some will want to because they know people have that extra money... As for government assistance, it depends on the person and family. They could be getting more than what UBI gives per month. Youd get it week by week instead of once a month. Which is probably better. But to say $2000 depends on the family. I know many more single parent families with government assistance than 2 parents homes personally. But I havent look up the percentages of anything. But that sucks that the people who get the UBI arent even the ones who need it most. That would be the people getting help already...

Is t really necessary. The only reason is because they are taking away jobs. If they didnt do that, then UBI wouldnt be necessary. It can be cheaper. But it depends on the company. Some companies may even start paying employees less when VATs is enabled. Or might fire people. This could hurt families...

Nothing will fix the country. And when Automation takes over, shits going to be really fucked up...
