| Topic | In the market for a new computer. Where should I go? |

Except I don't know a lot of stuff so I'm looking for advice. The computer I have is fairly old but ran fine up until the graphics card seems to have broken (that'd be the main thing I want to upgrade anyway). I don't plan on playing a lot of extreme ridiculous high definition games, I mostly just play indie games with simple stylized graphics, but I do want to play Obduction & No Man's Sky, which didn't work on my old graphics card. Also I plan on doing plenty of video editing. But that's about it in terms of what would probably push things I guess. Dunno how to measure for that. Computer specs are that it's Windows 7 64-bit, 8GB of RAM, and Intel Core i7 CPU K 875 @ 2.93GHz. I think that's what's important? Part of the reason I want to keep it is Windows 10 sort of rubs me the wrong way, but also price is a pretty big thing too where I don't know costs it might be cost effective just to get a new one altogether I dunno whoops.
