Circling back to the issue of limited vs unlimited availability, I wound up watching that (generally bad) live-action, animated hybrid Little Mermaid presentation on ABC mostly because I thought it wouldn't be likely available afterward. (iirc, the 2-part Bernie Madoff special was on tv then available for a super-limited time on Hulu or something, which I regret not getting to that second half because of the time sensitivity.)

The mix of animation and some of the costumes really made it wonky, although seeing Shaggy playing Sebastian was certainly a draw. (Queen Latifah's performance as Ursula was also pretty good.)

It also led me to finding a clip from another Little Mermaid musical where, admittedly, the Ursula actress was underwhelming (the Ariel was neat) but it was notable because Ursula was Ariel's aunt in the production which apparently was something they'd considered doing in the original film.

I like his smarmy asshole persona. He's basically playing a wrestling heel (which is why it wasn't entirely surprising when he actually got into local wrestling as a manager).

Which just goes to show that not everybody works as a heel.

He lathers the sarcasm and venom over what is surprisingly good journalism for the same reason Mike Stoklasa did his movie reviews as Mr. Plinkett - because listening to someone talk about sterile facts in a clinical tone is dull as fuck, and most people watching videos on YouTube would get bored and nope out pretty quickly. He's not that different from Yahtzee (though Yahtzee's mainly a reviewer), which is part of why I gravitated to Jim in the first place when they were both on the Escapist.

Sterling's reviews, etc, are boring, though, for a different reason.

I just want something to play while on my bed. I have a tv I can use for a PS4 but not much room for a console which is where I would buy those kind of games. I still have my super Mario cereal box I saved in case I ever get a Switch too for Odyssey. I'll probably get Breath of the Wild or Three Houses first.

The portability option was definitely a draw for me. Unfortunately, the software tends to be more expensive than the others (since it doesn't price drop as often or as deep) and things don't run great on it because... well, it's basically a tablet trying to do higher-end stuff. That's why some of the previous handhelds were a nicer blend.
