Spelled out in no uncertain terms. In writing and signed by both people that will be staying. Otherwise two weeks can turn into three, then four, now they have mail coming to the house, then they claim residence and now you have to go through legal proceedings to have them evicted. Then your landlord kicks you out for violating the lease by having more people than listed living there. They sign a paper acknowledging when they are to leave. Or forget it.
