Topic	Another day, another mass shooting in the US

As a point of interest, both shooters have a history of violent crime, and were, in fact, already out on bail awaiting trial for previous offenses, including assault on a deputy sheriff who was working security at a bar. I'm trying to imagine how more laws would be helpful, when existing laws certainly weren't a deterrent in this case.
