There was a brief attempt by Blizzard to force users to post under their real names on the Blizzard forums. This resulted in a massive backlash, complete with the account servers going down under the strain of people cancelling. Like now, the current President Mike Morhaime issued a lengthy statement in which he apologized and announced the cancellation of those plans.
