I liked The Simpsons more but South Park is way funnier.
This opinion is funnier than anything on South Park.

Simpsons at its worst is still watchable, I can't get through South Park at its lower-end let alone its worst.

Prime peak season Simpsons would usually draw a wry chuckle out of me, but South Park at its best has gotten real belly laughs out of me. While playing Stick of Truth there were moments when I was laughing so hard that I was almost in tears. Simpsons always felt like more of an intellectualized style of humor.
South Park also gets the nod because I feel like their "peak" period lasted longer than the Simpson's "peak" period ever did, and South Park at its worst has never been as bad as Simpsons at its worst.
I'm not sure South Park has ever had a real peak. It's had a good season here and there, but then there's crap at either side of it.
