Tencent owns a large portion of them they might aswell be a chinese company

They own 5% of Activision-Blizzard from what Ive found.

That's not the main thing, 5% isn't the obstacle here.

The main thing is that Blizzard is working with Netease in China (you know, the company responsible for Diablo Eternal). This company is absolutely massive in China. If they were to drop Blizzard, that would mean a loss of billions of dollars overnight.

So yeah, Blizzard is just doing this to appease the Chinese overlords.
