I can't quite put into words why I like the original so much more. It's...like some of the low notes in the background are reminding me of static and I love static so much that I find it wonderously relaxing?

The version you nominated lacks those notes. And while it's not right to penalize the song for not living up to the original, I can't listen to this without being reminded of how much I'd rather be listening to the other version.

[I hate the opening and most parts with the vocals (theres some metallic echoing I enjoy, but not much). The instrumental sections arent bad, but they dont do enough. After such a negative reaction to the start, theyd have to be truly great to turn my opinion around and they just werent enough.]

A fully instrumental version would probably get around a 7, but tonight my dislike of the vocals is at its absolute strongest. I think this song just dropped 60 rankings on the relisten, so that's a new record.

...Also it's probably just me, but something about the voice reminds me of DoodleBob. Like if instead of being erased he became the DJ at the hottest nightclub in Bikini Bottom.

[Final Thoughts: That marks the second, and hopefully final, arbitrary reference to DoodleBob.

Also pointing out that this fell 60 spaces is ridiculous after a song already fell 90, but it makes more sense in chronological order (as at the time this was written, the other song obviously hadn't dropped yet).]
