If you want to point to anything, you can point to SFV's poor reception. also I think you can see what Draven and Undertale have in common that literally all those other examples don't they were able to take advantage of the fact that the site's innate vote totals have plummeted since the end of 2010 plus L-Block and Draven didn't even have to get 50% of the votes to win, which helped them weather the early rounds; L-Block probably doesn't even survive round 2 if Kirby doesn't get LFF'd by DK --- ...
