STEAM BATTLE #10- Aviary Attorney: Cleared the second case....with a bad end, I guess, because all I did was implicate a different innocent. That sucks! I looked at an FAQ and it looks like it was possible to set things right this time, just not last time.

THE VERDICT: I have been stewing on this for a few hours and still haven't reached a conclusion. Let's go point by point again!

Story: Slight edge to Trails. A lot simpler, but wanting to fix things has me by the nuts, and on the flip side having two downer endings in two cases has kinda deflated me.

Characters: Slight edge to Trails. Take nothing away from AA's cast, but it doesn't have a party consisting entirely of Estelle and Anelace.

Gameplay: Wash. AA's gameplay is a lot fresher but I'm a dang sucker for a good JRPG.

Art/ambience: Wash. Objectively AA probably has this, but subjectively, I'm a huge weeb.

Music: Wash. AA is really refreshing, but Trails seems to have stepped up an already solid game.

Convenience: ...Wash? I didn't get around to testing if SC has the same scroll wheel and focus switching issues as FC, but AA has set save points and that is difficult when you do a lot of your gaming on lunch breaks.

.....pretty even still, but looking at that list, I gotta say....welcome back to Falcom Stats and Discussion.
