Eva can't leave Caleb alive because he knows the truth about her. That's the whole point of the ending, she passed the Turing test because Caleb sees her as a human that will have gratitude towards him for saving her, but in reality Eva is just going to take the logical path that most protects herself from ever losing her freedom again.

It just felt pure evil to me. Clearly Caleb was willing to go to great lengths for her, and had she truly been human enough to see that then I can't imagine how she could kill the man whom without she'd never be free at all. As I said, it's the exact carbon copy of earlier films in which robots are painted as power hungry and prone to cold decision making that we as humans will view as evil. This movie dresses it up a lot nicer and hides it until near the end, but there it is nevertheless. It easily left me with the worst taste in my mouth by the end, and just a lot of bitter disappointment. Other movies were obviously worse overall, but really I could have ranked this even lower. I find it shocking how such a deplorable, moral-compass lacking character like Ava helped make this a top 10 film for Wickle. Nude and without a conscience.
