If .hack or Star Ocean get lumped in, Ys does too. To answer the poll, Persona 5. This series somehow managed to supplant FF as the go to franchise, which DQ has ALSO done enough to leapfrog. Persona 5 is dripping in style, with great music to boot. DQXI is surprisingly dark storywise, which puts in on par with V.
