You don't run out of gas in space it's just bad science and a horrible problem to have for a plot device. The opening battle with the turtle bombers and them getting slaughtered was also a complete waste of story. Have it a heated battle with Y-wings and B-wings trying to bomb the battleship. It was boring and pointless. Snoke being a nobody and dying is okay but not if Kylo isn't a threat enough to fill in for a real villain. He was strong and ruthless but now dead. All that is left is Kylo who can't do anything except fall for Luke's crap at the end. No real lightsaber duel. While Kylo/Rey vs guards was cool it had it's flaws. The Luke vs Kylo was weak. It started out interesting but still keeps the characters right where they were at the beginning.
