| Topic | Picked up Dragon Quest XI today. *spoilers* |

I don't expect it to reinvent the wheel but I'm not sure what's changed in terms of quality-of-life gameplay changes. The pep system is kinda suspect because there's no real control over it that I've seen (or maybe they explained it and I just wasn't following). The story is kinda boring and the cast isn't super interesting so far. I generally thought the introductions to the DQVIII cast were much, much better. The game is gorgeous, though. That's for sure. I just did the silver cup in Gallopolis (I get it!) and unlocked some cool armor for the protagonist. Can the fun-size forge upgrade it so I can keep wearing it for a while because I like it more than the default look for him?
