For Aztec, do you have Ruler Designer? That's how I usually do my Aztec joke games.

I was thinking of using the Ruler Designer just to make the starting character based on myself. I wasn't going to change my religion though, since I think part of the fun in those non-starting religions is worming your way into it. I played an Aztec game once, basically by doing what I mentioned before: starting in West Africa, becoming an Aztec vassal, and then converting.

Don't understand the last category, just go with whatever other people suggest

The last category isn't that important, so it's okay if you don't care. But basically it's asking who the pope of the reformed religion will be and what his powers are. Also, of the four people who have voiced an opinion on this so far, they've literally all picked a different one soooo... yeah, nothing is winning yet lol

Hierocratic: like the IRL pope. An NPC priest will be promoted and he/she will make all religious decisions for all countries following that religion.
Autocephalous: Like if every country had its own pope that made decisions just for that country. An NPC priest in every country will be promoted.
Temporal: You the player become the pope and the title is handed down to your heirs
Autonomous: We don't want no stinkin' popes! There is no religious head. Rulers of the religion will get other decisions to make, but until I play the game, I'm not sure what these decisions will entail.
