Forgive me if I tell you a bunch of stuff you already know. Crusader Kings 2 is about generations of a single family. I can't just go from being a Norse viking in one generation to being a Tibetan Bon in the next (not without cheating/modding which I have no intention of doing). Sometimes you can finagle becoming a secret heretic and following a different religion from the rest of your family, but that option isn't always available. If you wanted to try something like that, I would attempt to role play that way. I am playing a single game/family, hopefully with heirs going in order of who posted. So for example, your character would be the son/daughter (or grandson/granddaughter) of Mega Mana's character.
