Almost 15 years ago I came to this website to upload a guide for Mortal Kombat: Deception. I didn't know it back then, but coming here would truly become a life altering decision. I ended up hanging around initially due to my interest in Cloud winning the character battle but following that I'd have raytan to thank for my continuing participation here (SMFFFC, of course). Over the years I've interacted with a lot of people here, positively and negatively at times. I've made great friends and have spent nearly half my life as a member of this board.

Around 8 years ago I met another user here, GenesisSaga. She was a fan of things I was and enjoyed the board games here most know as Save Mys. She messaged me one day about working together in an alliance in one of these, and that expanded to include more. Honestly, I was immediately intrigued even that long ago. I was not a very happy person, I was lonely and... well, here's a girl with like interests right here in front of me. It took quite some time, and one rejection, but as a lot of you know we started dating in early 2016. In that time my life has changed in so many ways. This has been the only relationship I've had where I never felt unsure of the other's feelings. Where I was actually made happy by someone else rather than by my own actions. I've been so many places, literally and metaphorically, that I never thought I'd go. Right now, we've landed in Disneyland. And I did so with my fiancee.

We never made a formal topic on the board about our relationship, but I did want to make this one. Yesterday was two years from the day we decided to take our friendship to the next level, and a little over a year since we moved in together. I proposed at the Georgia Aquarium, where we had our first physical date. I may share a video of it later since they kind enough to provide me with a recording.

I wanted to make this topic as not just an announcement, but as a thank you. To everyone on this board, friend, acquaintance, uh, others. I'm a big believer in the butterfly effect, and when I think of the journey that has led me here, I'm astonished at how many things could have altered the path. So thank you, thank you for being my home for all these years. I've been through the worst of times and the best of times right here. Without everything happening as it had, maybe I wouldn't be where I am today. I wouldn't be here with my best friend, the love of my life, my soulmate. I can't imagine feeling more fulfilled, or so full of desire to live more. Here's to many more memories together board 8.
