One of the top grossing movies of all time. 4 sequels coming.

No one cares.


It was huge when it came out, but he's got a point. The hype for Avatar dropped off a cliff.


To be fair, when they made the original deal with 20th Century Fox back in 2011, there was still major hype for Avatar, and the sequels had already been announced (delays notwithstanding).

Seeing that they're going to be making many sequels, this is the PERFECT time to build up park attractions (since there would be mutual benefit from the old deal; More hype from Disney means more money for the future film creators, and more viewership for the future films means more demand for the Disney attractions / merchandise from the deal).
