However, it's not left in for long periods of time like gauges, and it's not used to stretch the vagina, only maintain its size. Gauge-related infections are often caused by stretching too quickly, poor hygiene, or the material of the gauge irritating the skin.
Really, as long as women clean themselves properly, they're fine. That goes for all women, as natural vaginas are prone to infection as well when mishandled. Hell, sometimes even when not. Did you know antibiotics can cause yeast infections? They mess with the natural bacteria balance down there.
Yeah, but natural Vaginas don't shrink.
Also, anyone defending this type of surgery is almost as mentally screwed up as the ones having it done to themselves.
