TopicMost Excellent Fictional Character Contest (MEFCC) (Round 3, Pools 5,6,&7)

679 of the most popular fictional characters in the world have gathered together to let Board 8 decide who among them is the Most Excellent! The characters stem from all corners of the media world including; Films, TV Shows, Cartoons, Anime, Disney, Videogames, and Literature.

Only 170 of the best remain! The pool system will stay put but will take on a drastic twist in rules. There will now be 8 characters per pool, except for the final two, which will have 9 characters each. In total, there will be 21 pools. The four characters with the lowest scores will be purged from the contest (even in the final two pools). The remaining characters will move on the round of 86!

The rules for this round are going to be simplistic and votes will be easy and quick to cast. Each user is given a bank of 20 positive points and 10 negative points. In order to cast a vote, users must allot their points in full to any of the eight characters in each pool. If any points (whether negative or positive) are left unused, the ballot for that pool will be ignored.

In other words, one could split their 20 positive points up and give them to any array of characters they wish or they could give all 20 points to only one character to give him/her a quick boost up the leader board. The same goes for the 10 negative points, only these points should be used for characters the user does not like. It does not matter which character is given what amount of points. However, ALL points within a user’s bank must be used. Not every character in pool has to have points. If the user decides he/she is indifferent to a character then they have the choice of not giving any points to that character.

This round is not randomized. Characters were assigned to pools based on their scores from the previous round. However, only the previous round was taken into consideration. The first round’s assortment of points did not contribute to a characters assignment within these pools.

There will be three pools today. Voting will last for 24 hours. Because of the flexibility of this round, the vote change rule has been modified to better suit this style. Now, a user may only change his vote within an hour of the original post. To cast a changed vote, please put CHANGE: on the very top of the post followed by the list of changed votes. Any edited post with changes will be ignored.

No rallying or alt voting.
