Age of consent in Michigan is 16 HOWEVER if someone under the age of 16 conducts sexual activity with someone 4 years older or younger, the romeo and juliet law kicks in. So in this case him being 18 and her being 15 fits into this category. But also, Michigan defines this a "sexual contact" and doesn't protect "penetration". In other words, Michigan's laws are fucked. This is one of those cases where this kid is a felon in one state yet if he crosses state lines he's a law abiding citizen.
