if you threw in bathroom supplies, fast food and meals from restaurants then it would be a harder choice.

yea 200k i would take groceries. $300 a month for 50 years is 180k. granted inflation would increase that and $300 a month would be low when you could get all the expensive stuff instead of trying to get cheap stuff. but even then lets say you spend $1000 a month on groceries since you can just throw stuff away that's $600k over 50 years. but you'd probably be throwing away like half the stuff.
