Augustus followers guarded the exits with several serpent-like Pokmon while their leader attempted to steal a container of Infinity Energy. In the resulting confusion, the container was damaged and the Infinity Energy became dangerously unstable. I stalled Augustus until his Steelix hit me from behind, launching me into a wall. As Augustus escaped with some of Silph Co.s technology, I used my body to cover the container so the explosion wouldnt hurt any bystanders.

I woke up in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in Celadon City with critical injuries. A bit after I awoke, I discovered that the exposure to the Infinity Energy had transformed me into an energy sponge that reflexively absorbs the life force of anyone that touches my skin.
