A 99+% guilty conviction rate once a criminal case goes to court is pretty medieval. I mean, I agree with you, but I feel like it's probably an aftereffect of the nation as a whole having an insanely low crime rate, violent crimes especially, across the board. So people that do actually commit a crime get caught pretty easily I assume? Just speculating.
