Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the Western Spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small, unregarded yellow sun.

ngl I hate it when sci-fi stories make out Earth to be totally insignificant

Like "Oh yeah, Earth, that totally backwater planet that nobody ever goes to, or even heard of"

It's such a tired cliche

In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since. "Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, " just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had."
-The Great Gatsby

Timelessand perfect just like the rest of the book.

Sounds pretty damn WOKE and needs a good banning
:P

Then there's the classic Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy quote.

'The story so far: in the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.'

Now this one I love.
