Their scheduling system crashing, the lack of workers (this is a two- fold problem since there are regulations for the number of hours airline employees can work), and the weather caused a domino effect. The weather started it, but their crew scheduling software is ancient. So anytime theres a cancellation the crew member has to call into scheduling for them to manually adjust their schedule. Right now the system doesnt know where the crews are so they cant get scheduled to actually get planes in the air.
