Health insurance is a massive scam, and Americans seriously need to wake up and demand free health care. The entire industry is "Give us your money and we might cover you if you're not seriously ill. If you are, then die.". Health insurance is also the reason it's so expensive to get care without insurance. Because insurance companies have the buying power to negotiate lower prices for services, doctors and hospitals have to inflate their prices to offset that, to say nothing of the administrative costs associated with that negotiation. This is a large part of why the US pays more than twice as many tax dollars per capita for health care than any other country in the world, despite not actually having a government health care system. The whole thing is a racket that means everybody has to pay more and most people see worse service than they'd see anywhere else. Damn_Underscore posted...
