and that's it. If they remake the game for switch Nintendo is gutless

I mean, Phantom Hourglass is the actual worst, but as far as "mainline" Zelda games goes, SS is definitely the worst.

I guess the first one on the NES is good for a novelty, but yeah just as that.

4 and 5 are good for the DS

7 is so damn long. I've tried twice and failed to get past 50 hours both times

8 is one of the best games for the PS2 (haven't played the 3DS remake)

XI is good so far (in act 2)

Final Fantasy is still dead in the water, but I think SE seems to be headed in the right direction. Cancelling FFXV and moving on is probably for the best. Unless they were going to completely remake the game so that the DLC fits seamlessly into the narrative, there was no saving it.

I basically just do the first 2 cases when I replay AJ. If I really want some background on LamiroirI'll play case 3 again. It's terrible, but it's much better on subsequent playthroughs. I never touch 4-4.

38. Fleuret - Shocktrooper - Blonde with a French accent and into swords. Voice is super annoying. Has a potential where she SOMETIMES WON'T SHOOT WHEN YOU TELL HER TO. Oh yeah VC4 has these. You can sometimes get rid of them by doing their side missions. Not a bad idea, but holy crap, potentials in this game are even more broken.

37. Mabel - Sniper - A "tough girl" secretly into cute things. Yawn. Next.

36. Neige - Sniper - Girl next door type openly into cute things. Why is this fifteen year old girl a sniper?

35. Leonhardt - Sniper - Typical "upper class noble" schtick (see Suikoden 1 & 2 for the only good examples of these characters)

34. Nico - Scout - Blonde girl/boy who's super religious. Another character with a super annoying voice.

33. Rebecca - Engineer - Fairly generic character with a potential where she will sometimes refuse to heal a character.

32. Vancey - Shocktrooper - Alcoholic with flashbacks. YO PEOPLE, PTSD AND ALCOHOLISM AREN'T FUNNY, stop playing them for laughs.

31. Godwin - Scout - Ugly as hell. Not sure what else to say here. Kind of a bad dude.

30. Millennia - Scout - Maiden in search of her MIA fiance. Snooze.

29. Jimmy - Lancer - Literally the most boring character ever made, but purposefully so? It's kind of funny how the game makes jokes about how he's a walking death flag but yeah, that's basically it.

28. Rosetta - Scout - "Presents as Female." I'm not going to even get into how problematically lazy this character is but suffice it to say she is not a model for trans characters in videogames.

Short Review Valkyria Chronicles 4 is often highly ambitious in its storytelling. But it's also highly cliche in other areas. The characters are more like VC2's than VC1's in that - even though it's not set in a school - all the characters feel like tropes. In fact, pretty much all the classes have just two models per gender, which leads to some pretty obvious palette swaps. Squad E isn't fit to lick the boots of Squad 7, to be honest. There's no Vyse here. There's not even a Jan. But I guess we take what we can get to avoid stuff like Valkyria Revolution.

A lot has been made about the game's sexism - It's basically true that this game feels like it was written by virgins. The males are stupid and the females are into cute stuff and getting married. I'm not saying all narratives have to feature strong, progressive characters, but they shouldn't only be generic waifus. VC1 was overall better in this regard though it admittedly wasn't a strong suit there either.

Why am I doing this? I dunno, it's contest season.

This is how I've heard it explained best.

Imagine if Marvel started with Iron Man. Then imagine it's 2nd movie was Civil War. Then imagine it's 3rd movie was The Sinister Six. Then imagine it's 4th movie was Captain America. Then finally its 5th movie was the Avengers where they introduced Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye for the first time.

That's what DC did.

It's actually more like it's 4th movie was Thor. But yeah, I get the point.

"rip off" might be a strong term, but the suicide squad trailer with queen was definitely intended to capitalize on the same kind of approach that guardians took. it's obvious.

Oh yeah, you're right... what am I thinking of instead? Black Widow? Honestly I haven't seen the film in years and I only saw it twice.

Thor 1's badness is overstated. I find it quite enjoyable.

Ed Norton's Incredible Hulk is also not a bad film at all. It doesn't feel like part of the universe because it isn't, and it's actually just fine on its own.

Iron Man 2 is definitely trash and in retrospect the fanficky hawkeye stuff is lame. Still, it, Iron Man 3, and Dr. Strange are the only Marvel movies that aren't better than Man of Steel or Batman vs. Superman. Plus, literally every Marvel movie is better than the Justice League film.

Always been horizontal for me.

I love T&T. That being said, I wouldn't say that it has the "best story" in videogames (as a wide category). It's got good twists and characters, but it's also very much part of its own little world. An all time "great story" I think needs to do a bit more than just be entertaining... it needs to make you think and whatnot. It would be like saying an Agatha Christie novel has the best story in literature.

That being said, I'm not sure if any of the other choices are any closer.

I don't understand the differece between "I like the fighting" and "I like the button combos/strategy."
