So I got this recently, finished all chapter 1s. Which chapter 2 should I do first? From what I've read I can go around unlocking subclasses by heading for the various chapter 2 towns, so that's probably my first priority, but I'm also trying to finish off side quests and see if there are any optional dungeons I was too weak for at first that I can beat now. Also trying to get rich so I can buy stuff, I realized pretty quickly that save scumming stealing can break the game so my current plan is probably to just Purchase stuff instead so money will put a limit on how much nonsense I can get up to.

the first chapter 2 I did was h'aanits, which was probably a bad idea because it was the one with the highest suggested level. It was a struggle (a fun struggle) but I beat it and by the time I finished wrapping up the last of the chapter 2's I thought they were way too easy

this is perhaps berseria's greatest achievement, retroactively fooling you into thinking zestiria might be a passable game

also yeah the return to aball is a really fun part of the game

just started the chapter 3's and I'm wondering if I should start switching around these sub classes. everyone's basically maxed out two jobs now. is this one of those scenarios where I should try to make everyone know everything?

Olberic is the only one who can boost the Defend command, but I don't remember what that accomplishes.

It makes him a damage sponge essentially. Combined with cover it can be kind of helpful I guess

the working designs aesthetic has really aged terribly, as have the lunar games.

that being said, they're remarkable for their time in terms of story. even if they're boring now, that shouldn't take anything away from what are great characters and storylines.

I tackled my first Chapter 2, H'annit's, because it was the closest one to the last character I recruited (Tressa). It also happened to be technically the "most difficult" based on suggested level. It was actually, for me, literally the perfect level of challenge. Only my main was the recommended level and everyone else began the chapter 7-10 levels behind. It was tough, and the lord of the forest ate up all of my items, and it took probably half an hour longer than it should have, but I beat it and I am satisfied.

It looks fun, but I think I'm done with superhero movies after Avengers 4 and maybe another Holland spider-man

had my first really challenging fight. way underleveled fighting the jotun side quest boss. felt really satisfying figuring out a strategy that didn't just involve break----> super saiyan lvl 4.

there's nothing in those tweets that hasn't been done in south park or family guy or something similar

I feel like I'm playing the game wrong. Super early game Ophilia and Cyrus spoilers: I started with Ophilia, beat the flame boss, and then was told to go to someplace, but I went in the other direction. I got Cyrus and did his part of the story until he was forced to leave town. I decided I might as well keep going in this direction, so I'm headed for Tressa's town next, although I feel like I'm getting further away from where Ophilia and Cyrus want to go lol. Did I complete their "chapter 1" or am I now doing two "chapter 1s" simultaneously?

You can't leave a chapter 1 until you finish it, so yeah, you're fine.

Star Ocean 2 is good. Star Ocean 3 is fine. It has some big flaws, but I thought it was generally enjoyable.

It doesn't matter if Lymle's "kay" makes sense, she's still in the top 3 worst ever jrpg playable characters

Who you start with has to stay in your party until you complete their story. Other than that, it really doesn't matter.

before it promptly dropped them on the ground in season 4, tripped over them in season 5, and rebuilt things pearl fey style in season 6

AD > Parks > Community > 30 Rock

Parks is the most consistent all the way through. AD has the funniest moments. Community has 2-3 really good seasons. 30 Rock has about 1-2 really good seasons and some pretty terrible ones.

one of my favorite things about old-school jrpg's was "filling in the gaps" in what was already a pretty good story. like in FFVI, when you had to split the party up, I always imagined what the other characters were doing/saying to each other.

Oh, I forgot Persona 5. After having such great final boss music and ideas for 3&4 (3 is thematic, 4 is just trying to stomp you), 5's boss has REALLY bad final boss music when compared to the other boss themes. While having a unique battle mechanic, the boss so weak, it never feels like a threat.

I didn't think Persona 5's boss was noticeably easier compared to 4. Also, I liked the final boss music.
