Maybe S1 wasn't showing him as OP yet and that's the problem? He gets the necro class change at the end and isn't really able to show it off. But even then, I'm not seeing what a lot of my friends are calling it the GOAT anime of recent for. Even the leveling part is like...not all that unique to me. Idk. I don't expect it to make Lightsworns tiered or anything, but any boost in its relevancy/competitiveness is a great thing in my eyes lol. 100%And that's another thing I love too. Throughout the last episodes, they show Serie as this foil to Frieren. A hardass that wants to keep magic absolute and all about power. But then it reveals that even as much as she scoffs at the fact that Frieren's teacher's favorite spell was the flower spell, she still used it. I'll definitely watch season 2 though.It's odd because the whole tone of the show I feel like isn't really meant to blow anyone away.
