The reason I asked this is because I said the PS5 will end up with a better catalogue of games than the Wii U, people got mad at me and said I must also consider that you can play Wii games on the Wii U, I said "okay well you can also play PS4 games on the PS5 so that just makes it easier for the PS5 to beat the Wii U like....immediately?" then people got assblasted and claimed that I must ALSO consider that you can hack your Wii U to natively play GameCube games.

They just seem to have zero idea how publishing licenses and standard business agreements work. Like they'll swear up and down that a third party exclusive will stay exclusive to Nintendo because "Nintendo published it" ignoring the fact that it's always just an international publishing deal and the domestic rights stay in Japan, meaning the trademark holder can then publish it themselves on other consoles internationally.

They also can't seem to understand that Pokemon is a Nintendo franchise. Like, they always claim that it's really a "The Pokemon Company" franchise as if Nintendo holds zero say or ownership over it. This one is especially funny seeing as how Nintendo's name is on literally every Pokemon game, Nintendo owns the actual trademark, and the fact that the past three presidents of Nintendo have been The Pokemon Company executives before becoming President of Nintendo.

they're literally in the same position as they were under microsoft. they were "independent" but made games exclusively for Microsoft while also being owned by them and then they asked for freedom and were granted it.
