also - widower and gold teeth are two of my favourite dillinger songs, but my favourite is farewell mona lisa and i think the best example of all the contrasting things that i love about them.

i'd say one of us is the killer is the other album most like what you liked about OP, but i love ire works so i can't say that's a bad shout by seg either

this was great - i dunno how to say this best but most of the other songs i've had to focus and give my full attention but this was playing while i was doing some work i felt entirely in the groove while it was on and it's still playing in my head now. it just felt ... right, and somewhat familiar. definitely my favourite so far

I was stuck between 2 songs on the same album for my first pick for this.

Paramore- Told You So

Paramore's new album, After Laughter, is one of the best albums so far this year imo. I was gonna go with Fake Happy but thought Told You So works better for those who haven't listened to the album yet. Paramore are able to fully crossover into a pop sound that isn't just generic, made for radio territory. This album is extremely dark lyrically, going through themes of depression and self doubt that aren't usually accustomed with this type of music. It's a great contrast. And of course Hayley has a fantastic voice, being paired with some great guitar work and production.

i disliked this a lot and am no longer interested in checking out paramore

So this is an idea I've had for a while, bore of my past failures at keeping a Song of the Day topic going or a Song of the Week topic alive, along with my constant desire to share and talk about music. So my new idea was that each day, one of 6 users posts their own Song of the Week, and then every Sunday we have a vote to decide the best song each week. I'll probably put all the songs on Spotify playlists or something too.

I'd volunteer for that last spot but I think the only one on the board with tastes anywhere similar to mine is ZeroSignal so I don't think I'd contribute much of value.

from past music topics I think digi/Cokes have opposite music tastes as me (they hate everything I like and vice versa) but your music is probably my kind of thing

the hope was for some diversity, although all of us have some common ground as well so some weeks you could see us all lining up somewhat and some weeks everything could be wildly different
