No. I dislike fruit a great deal, and in fact have never eaten an apple. (My mom tells me I'd be famous if I ever made a YouTube video called "41 year old man eats apple for the first time," lol.) I do love veggies, though.

It's not like creatively fulfilling or anything, but they have been very good to me over the years. I've had cancer multiple times and still suffer from chronic pain and they are always supportive and understanding of using sick and vacation time, which I have plenty of. So, yes it's a great job in terms of culture and flexibility. Plus it's a good job for someone like me who's a bit of an introvert.

Yes. Not to overshare about my chronic pain problems, but multiple cancers and repeated surgeries to the same area has left me with severe nerve damage and I feel worse now than when I actually was sick, so odds are I am going to have at least one painkiller every day.

Well first, I am gay myself, and though I am secure in my own "he"-ness I am also very much on your side here. But you also have to understand it's a learning process and stop being so defensive or telling other people what's "convenient, " as you put it. As I stated in my first comment, it is disrespectful and minimizing to blatantly ignore someone's pronoun...when you know it. But are you seriously telling me that there's no way you can see how, if someone plows ahead with references to an unknown "they," it might take them two seconds to realize who is actually referred to? Come on now. That's as equally and willfully thick headed as those you're calling out.

Actually it is, because most people are likely inclined to think of it as a plural.

I'd allow some wiggle room with this. If someone's preference has been established then yes, choosing not to use it is incredibly disrespectful. However, referring to "they" with no context or previous knowledge of those preferences can be confusing at first.

I like to think I'm kind enough to not call someone stupid, but yeah, I don't see why people don't get it.

Gotta go with The Last of Us. Not that I didn't like it, but I kept waiting for this emotional gut punch moment I heard so much about to come and it never did, then the game was done. Again, it was good, I just have a hard time believing everyone was SO emotionally invested in what's really a pretty run of the mill zombie game.

I'm in my 40s and have honestly never sat down and watched it. I was more of a MadTV guy back in the day. But that said, even if you didn't watch it I feel like you still were aware of a lot of the cultural references like Wayne's World and Mr. Bill and all that. It doesn't seem like there's been anything popular like that in recent years.
