Absolutely mortifying. Certainly makes me scared to traverse any harbor bridge... but thankfully I live nowhere near one. Thoughts and hugs to the friends and families of those who lost their lives.

Wasn't the human lead being the focus one of the main things wrong with The Mummy? I've not seen it, but I thought a lot of people were disappointed that it ended up as "Tom Cruise stars as Tom Cruise in Look How Awesome Tom Cruise Is (also there's a Mummy)"

Got cancelled after The Mummy underperformed. But that meant instead of a big budget film that was sure to be terrible we got Leigh Whannels Invisible Man which is one of the best horror movies of the decade.

I think I'm increasingly realizing how deep into the alt right they are, and while I don't watch them I do watch others react to them so you could say not much different. Because it is sustained over years. I wouldn't have an issue if it was one or two of his topics or posts, but with LMS it is every topic or post. The harshness is more in the repetition and in the number of people doing it.

Unless you think the whole thing is a meticulously constructed and false persona (in which case attacking him is playing into his hands), you are simply attacking him for being who he is.

This is the way LMS is. It is clearly not going to change. This is not some created online persona (it's possible he has self awareness and has dialled it up, but I have my doubts). So then you're just attacking a guy for being the way he is - when "the way he is" is someone who virtually never insults anybody on a personal level, posting on a forum where there's a way to both never see his posts and ensure he never sees yours. Yet people choose to repeatedly dogpile on him whenever he makes a topic or post.

Or maybe people should stop telling him to shut up? It is clearly not actually going to make him shut up. It hasn't until now. Making those posts is not some selfless thing about helping LMS, it's a selfish release of frustration.

I'd say when it's multiple people repeatedly attacking a single guy who hasn't actually made any personal attacks themselves, bullying is a fair assessment. Even when they have, it could be considered that (see ertyu).

To each their own; Fear and Five Nights have roughly 20-30% on RT, Blood and Honey's rockin' 3%. As bad as Pooh was, however, I note it was made on practically no budget. B&H2 is being made on a much bigger one than the first.

This would have been during full Johns and and Tomasi fever when they were the hottest thing since sliced bread, GL was dominating. A couple years later and even Larfleeze could have been in the top 25.

It's difficulty to convey for those who weren't all in at the time what a fucking movement that Johns GL run was. Blackest Night felt like the fucking Olympics for comic events.
