He didn't go off the JK Rowling end, but holy shit it's people like him that conflate anti-semetism with criticizing the Israeli Government. And the only thing I will comment is that there is A LOT of these types in the entertainment industry in general. There is an absolute bias in our media that is more "pro-Israel" than "pro-Palestine". My issue with the "free Palestine" movement is that a lot of the people lack optics like that one girl saying that they're going to murder those politicians in Bakersfield.

I didn't find out until some time last year that Nimrod was actually a mighty hunter.

Nimrod is described in Genesis 10:812 as the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. The only other references to Nimrod in the Bible are in Micah 5:6, where Assyria is called the land of Nimrod, and in 1 Chronicles 1:10, which reiterates his might.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nimrod

It's only because of Bugs Bunny that we associate the name with buffoonery.

https://unrememberedhistory.com/2017/01/09/the-nimrod-effect-how-a-cartoon-bunny-changed-the-meaning-of-a-word-forever/

Oh thanks for recontextualizing that word for me. I'm guessing Bugs Bunny used that as an insult against Elmer "nimrod" because he's a hunter (as the word means). I definately learned something new today lol.

I called Magneto being alive, but I had a friend explained to me who the "Bastion" guy was and the moment he said something about Nimrod (hilarious name) the only thing that came to mind was Marvel Snap of me blowing him up lol. But yeah this is a direction that actually feels like there's consequences in this universe, which is great. I'm on the edge of my seat on what happens next.

My comic book friend is also saying that Onslaught might make an appearance because of the state of mind Magneto and Xavier is in or something.

The whole cast in general is the most fun I had in a long time since Part 6. Unlike Jojolion, this part is starting out pretty strong and making itself more unique going for the "heist" genre...which will eventually devolve into being a battle shonen eventually.

But yeah ultimately Yugioh is fun for people who love the "end game" portion of Yugioh and likes to wombo combo. It's what differentiates itself from other TCG's and at least Konami isn't running the game to the ground like Hasbro is doing to MtG.

I agree that XB2 has the best combat out of the three XB games, but the game does a really shitty job in explaining its mechanics to you. I had to watch an exhaustive youtube video to breakdown the combat for me to actually enjoy what they were going for. I also dislike the unnecessary gacha system, but I agree that it wasn't done with nefarious/predatory intentions...otherwise they would've given you the option to pay real money to make it faster.

As for the cast of characters, sorry but I greatly dislike anime tropes and this game really basks itself with those anime tropes. XB1 had some of them, but none of it was as cringey as XB2. I did enjoy the twist in XB2 in comparison to XB3. XBX is my to go game, even though that game is plagued with problems itself.

I agree as well. It's more important to see what their pros and cons are rather than just blindly looking at a score because at the end of the day it's all subjective so trying to put a score on art is going to vary greatly from one person to another.

I don't know a damn thing about the lore for Warhammer, but I have a friend who is really into the lore and he said Warhammer is infamous for retconning their stories and lore all the time. To me, this just sounds like anything that lasts for a long time, you get new creative heads and writers that just change things as they see fit. I guess my friends biggest criticism for this is just how lazily they went about it instead of trying to fit it into the story or something.

QUEENS - A squatter who rented out rooms in a woman's million-dollar home in Queens pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges Thursday.
This came a month after the homeowner was arrested for trying to change the locks.

According to the Queens District Attorney, back in February, Brian Rodriguez forced his way back into Adele Andaloro's home after she changed the locks, allegedly pushing his way into the house as she tried to hold the door closed.

When he claimed that he was a legal tenant and Andaloro was trying to legally evict him, police had no choice but to remove Andaloro from her home.

After he'd signed a lease for $3,200 per month on the home and moved in subletters, Rodriguez claimed, he realized something was amiss when Andaloro showed up.
"I need a month or two to get them out," he told the Post before his arrest. "I am ready to give the house back to Ms. Adele. I'll take the L on this one. The house really beat me up."

His attorney Jerald Levine told Fox News Digital that Rodriguez was innocent.

"Everything is on the record all I can tell you is he's not guilty," Levine said.. "I'm not getting involved with the papers."

"I may end up in handcuffs today if a man shows up here and says I have illegally evicted him," Andaloro told ABC 7. "I said 'let him take me to court as I've been told to take him to court' because today I'm not leaving my house."

Rodriguez, 35, faces charges of second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, second-degree criminal trespass and fourth-degree criminal mischief, the office wrote.

Assistant District Attorney William Jorgenson asked Judge Toni Cimino to jail Rodriguez on $100,000 bail until his next court date on May 13, and for a restraining order to keep him away from Andaloro. Cimino granted the order of protection but released Rodriguez a repeat offender with burglary and narcotics convictions, the Post reported on supervised home confinement.

https://www.fox5ny.com/news/squatter-charged-million-dollar-home-queens

Basically that one guy, Brian Rodriguez, finally got charged over that viral video of Andaloro got arrested when she tried to change the locks to her house that she inherited from her mother. Apparently now he is claiming that he's a victim of a fraud, supposedly signing a lease from someone and paying $3,200 a month. Looks like the judge didn't believe him.
