Fun fact: The broadcast overlay of the pitch strike zone is NOT the actual strike zone. In fact, when two different broadcast teams and their two different cameras catch borderline pitches, one will deem it a ball and another a strike due to the different angles at which the cameras see the zone. This is proof that there is no accounting for parallax angles on the broadcast -- and why would there be, especially local broadcasts. See:

You would probably need some sort of tacking technology in the uniforms for it to be truly accurate. it isn't like the tennis thing which is measuring against a static, unmoving line. The strike zone is constantly moving as the batter adjusts their stance. Moreover, it's different for every different batter.

Pet peeve about the broadcast overlay: Since they aren't true strike zones, they can and do negatively influence the audience perception of the ball and strike. They take the graphic as gospel. There was a seemingly egregious called-ball today that appeared middle-up in the zone. Remove the zone, and it's actually right on the borderline of the true strike zone, because of the batter's unique stance (way more hunched over at the last moment). Still a borderline call, but not as egregious as people on the interwebs are saying it is. Because the strike zone graphic is far too tall.

I tried looking up that baseball classic fight and the only I got was the Canada/Mexico fight from the 2013 classic. It was still pretty crazy. They were actually fighting instead of a giant shoving match.

Yeah Ben Wagner got a raw deal. At least Mike Wilner isn't on there anymore though, I couldn't stand him.

in canada, the government website has "partnership" platforms. each year there's a new startup that has a free version, and they all pull past history into their programs fairly seamlessly. It is baffling that only one has a desktop version, the rest is web applets or, good lord, mobile apps. Who the hell does taxes on their phone?!!?

He just left the KHL to join the NHL. He was drafted in 2015. His numbers in the KHL were very good. The flyers lost their """franchise""" goalie to a lawsuit/investigation this year (he was pretty lousy anyways) and it's doubtful he ever comes back. While their current guy is a nice stopgap, they are looking at all options for a future bonafide starter.

Ff12 was not actually realtime combat. It just executed its battle order very well that it felt real time. In reality it is a modified active-time battle. This comes into play when you hit the action limit, which is a major issue in the PS2 version.
