Well got my 4x Behemoths and Quetzes. Hopefully the easy enrage breaks can put my Lightning teams over the water guys. Then I'll run into the no chain problem against Fire but my water teams are pretty stacked so if any of my sets can manage chainless it'll be them.

Got my 4 Quetz. I managed to get the time down to a more reasonable ~50 seconds by putting +40 Spellblade and +30 Weakness RM on Bartz and Guy rather than going with meter gain on guy to stack imperils faster (he was getting enough meter to keep up 6 imperil anyway) and thundergod on Bartz (when the fight is going that long Thundergod is not very good)

Sazh was surprisingly useful that fight. Chocobo Chick's MBlink saved me from imperils twice since they're pretty rigidly scripted to land at around 21 seconds and 39 seconds, so it's easy to thread the needle to blink the imperils. Between that and affliction break you can really keep the imperils down (you see evidence of that in my screenshot as my guys are only at -2 resist despite it being a minute in)

Oh I found it

Neutrals get +1 to their two highest stats with the third being determined by the hero. Probably the third = their third highest stat, which I guess is the best way to do it. Still think +1 to all is arguably more balanced but whatever.

+1 Atk/+1 Spd/+1 HP would probably be the most fair but I could honestly see an argument being made for +1 everything being most balanced as spiking a stat tends to be better than going balanced

(or also a neat way to give that elusive neutral nature some upside)

Bit confused how that works if you have something already merged though. Like uh. I have a +Atk/-Def Oboro I'd like to merge my +7 +Res/-Spd Oboro into. I would ASSUME that she'd get her bane wiped when going straight to +8 but with this game...

Does suck for units that can't get a bane though like TT guys. What do they get?

I mean I've grinded more boxes than you in 2/4 of the box events I'm pretty sure. My pace is well beyond that of a casual. I just didn't want to try this one.

Basically this had box grind like pacing with standard event style rewards, which is a blunder imo.

I think the difference between us is you put the meat of the gap between Charlotte, Ronda/Becky and the rest I put Charlotte on the other end of it because she's basically just Asuka with a 2 month head start at this point. Remember Carmella beat Charlotte too.

I think Asuka being 1999 Mankind and Charlotte being 1999 Triple H to Becky's 1999 Steve Austin is a good comparison of how over they are. I would say 1999 Mankind was more over than Triple H, and neither one of them were anywhere near Austin.

Unfortunately the entire lump sum of them are well below their parallels in terms of actually being over, so you need Austin (Becky) vs Rock (Ronda) and with a damn good build to actually main event credibly.

Do you think TLC main event felt inorganic?

Bryan vs AJ should've been the main event, looking at the card. If that wasn't on the show you could maybe run it in the ME but that speaks more to the show's card being weak than anything.

To be fair I would put the builds as about equal, but the WWE Title inherently adds a bit of weight over the Smackdown Women's Title due to its history, and AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan are both way more over than any of the three.

You need sustained months of good builds for women's matches for them to organically be in the ME slot.

Women shouldn't be main eventing yet, going on crowd reactions. Becky vs Ronda is the only one you could feasibly main event with in a way that feels organic, and you'd need a strong feud to back that one up. The rest just feel like "we're giving the women a main event spot because ~equality~"

Like Asuka's reactions aren't at that level I'll admit, but Charlotte's aren't either. And I suspect among the audience at large Ronda is the only one that touches the reactions needed and only among UFC fans. Becky's reaction is likely NXT star-like in that your crazies who actually buy tickets are way more into her than the people at home.

It's nothing against the women but they just haven't really done anything to justify the portion of the card the women have received lately. It hasn't been gradual in a way that works. They get more segments but the weight behind those segments isn't there yet.

They did give a lot of apples and cut the story AP requirements in half so it's not like they didn't help you clear the singularity.

It's not about AP it's about real time investment required. My choice was to skip the story or skip the quartz or spend solid days playing this game. I decided to skip the quartz but I don't like that I was forced into that choice as a day 1 player.

Sounds about right. There was a pretty huge dead time between a bit before Halloween and the beginning of December. Announce the singularity and completion campaign for it about 2 months earlier and it would be much better.

Real talk while more true to Punch Out I think at minimum weapons should be banned as this is kinda too rough for Mac as is. Forget guys like Kiryu who can Dragon Chan his ass but generic RPG sword guys can just use their sword using the Hoy Quarlow clause.

30 quartz is definitely more significant than most event rewards imo, even if the odds are it's not getting you anything valuable.

Anyway I've voluntarily abstained from full clearing events before and extended absence doesn't mean I'm quitting the game. I'm just voicing displeasure with the way they handled this. ESPECIALLY if we're getting a bunch of reruns soon it's like "why was there a huge rush"

Plenty of people want Asuka to beat Becky and Charlotte. She's probably got the strong majority of the audience who aren't drinking the Becky Kool Aid super hard. I guess you could argue most of the audience is at this point but I'm sure there is a good amount of the audience that gimmick isn't quite working for. Like ignoring people like me who just like Asuka more, kids and older people in particular I think probably don't dig Becky's gimmick as much.

Yeah I dunno this whole last raid time sensitivity thing really turned me off from the game. Biggest thing I liked about F/GO is it tended to respect your time and didn't pressure you to do stuff immediately. Throwing out the final singularity + raid DO IT NOW (worse if like me you had not finished through Camelot at the time) goes against what I enjoyed about the game so I'm basically taking an extended break for now.

More power to people who are enjoying it though

Should be noted that Kiryu is a lot more well rounded than most of Mac's opponents. Mac usually gets around guys who are stronger or faster than him by exploiting some weakness in their style or gameplan. You won't get that kinda thing out of Kiryu nearly as easily.

I checked it out. It was about as good as you could expect for a Raw match where there was pretty much no realistic chance Nattie would win. Probably her third best match for me behind Charlotte and Nikki.

In some ways Luigi isn't that weird. High Nintendo skew generally does well with registered voters. Mario and Sonic are pretty high too.

But on the other hand what I don't get is how Luigi can be so positive when Edgeworth is super positive and Frog is very positive and Tails and Tifa are slightly positive. Like that's his entire path so ??? how can everyone in it do better with registered users. Is it all because they get measured through Tifa who went super user vote positive on Samus or something? I'm not sure that's a good way to measure skew. Maybe there's something I'm missing.
