So what exactly is the deal with iguodala btw? Is he literally holding out because he doesn't want to be there? I expect better from him tbh if that's the case.

it seems like the expectation from the beginning was that Memphis was only taking him on to flip him to another team

they never even assigned him a number

my Mega Man inequality after finishing MM10

9 > 2 > 10 > 3 >= 4 > 7 > 6 > 1 > 8 > 5

not sure when I'll pick up 11 and play it

I didn't really try playing as Protoman or Bass this time around but maybe another time

Yeah, I'm not a fan of punishing difficulty either. I wouldn't consider MM2 to be that difficult of a game. I thought MM3 was harder, but not really in a good way. It crafted difficulty through frustrating enemy placement and by using a lot of enemies that were too low to hit with the Buster. I wouldn't necessarily mind if it weren't annoying to have to open the menu to change weapons, especially since you have to shuffle back and forth between two screens. It's just too much after a while.

MM9 is mostly in the sweet spot like MM2 was, although like I said, it could use fewer instant death traps.

He's so good. I can see you really liking 6-4 if he's your favorite character because he carries that case. He even makes Nahyuta look good at times, and that's no small task!

Plus, I think Blackquill as an opponent (especially for Apollo) is just such a massive advantage over Nahyuta. Spirit of Justice is a game that succeeds in spite of itself sometimes because it has some noticeable shortcomings.

I feel like if you're a fan of ReLIFE, you owe it to yourself to read the manga because the anime cuts so much content, especially in the last part of the series that the OVAs cover.

Huh, interesting. Well, I feel like DR1 had the most grounded characters, which would sound absurd in a vacuum but compared to the other games, it seems to be the case! I just don't find most of them to be very interesting. I might say that only Mondo and Hifumi are actually bad, but I think I only really found myself caring about a few characters. DR2 goes a bit off the rails at times, but Case 5's ending is legitimately a favorite gaming moment for me.

Yeah, this is pretty much my thoughts on the series, too. It's just not for me.

One of these days, I'll go back and finish World of Light in Smash Ultimate. I haven't touched the game since after Joker dropped. I didn't enjoy Smash 3DS at all. It just didn't "feel" right to me. I didn't like how it handled.

Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated Episode 7 complete!

Huh, this episode didn't really have anything to do with the overarching plot. It was more of an episode designed to make Fred realize his feelings for Daphne, which is almost kind of a shame because his complete obliviousness to her feelings for him was one of the best parts of the show up to now!

Violet Evergarden Episode 7 complete!

That was a really emotional episode, but they did say they never actually found Gilbert's body. In fiction, if you don't see the body, that means there's always a chance they're still alive somewhere. I always assumed he was dead and they just didn't know how to tell her, but now I wonder if they'll swerve with an ending that he's still alive.

Mega Man 2 beated

Yeah, that's easily better than MM1. The design sense is so much stronger. The levels never feel unfair. The game actually provides good opportunities to use the special weapons outside of bosses, too, which MM1 didn't really do outside of needing Gutsman's weapon to get Item-1. They could use a little bit of balancing though because you can use the Metal Blade and Quick Boomerang seemingly infinitely, but then you end up in a situation where you almost have to die on purpose with a boss because Crash Bomber depletes so quickly and it's the only weapon that damages the boss. It doesn't have some of the later quality of life improvements like the slide, Rush, refillable E-Tanks, or being able to charge the Mega Buster, which almost makes it more impressive in a way that this game is so good because you're working with a more limited range of movement.

also I forgot how hilarious it is after you beat the last boss and the alien is exposed to be just a hologram and Wily is just hanging out in the corner moving the thing around with a joystick like a crane machine

and I guess I'll keep a running inequality of the games

2 > 1

and for those who were keeping track of MMX

X1 > X2 > X4 > X3 > X5

Stages: Quick Man > Metal Man > Flash Man > Crash Man > Air Man > Wood Man > Bubble Man > Heat Man

Glad to have that one out of the way! It's fine, but the level design feels rough and often unforgiving compared to later incarnations (the beginning of the Elecman stage being the prime example where one misstep means you fall for three screens).
