Games tend to be spread out enough that that's not an issue. Pretty rare to play multiple games in a single day. Load management is a major thing in the NBA, and players often play three or even more games a week. There absolutely is a benefit to resting some days, both officially and unofficially, and going all out one day could easily have a deleterious impact on your play a couple days later. Porter was a bench player, but for starters major minutes for 82 games a year takes a big toll on your body, and that's not even accounting for deep playoff runs potentially pushing that number over a hundred games played. --- Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. |

Maybe if you're doing it for the very first time and need to learn the controls and concepts of the game. Otherwise, the opening is a couple of minutes at most. A couple minutes. What? You have to chat to a half dozen people, find money to buy something, go through a small maze, go back and forth between a couple places, and the likes before you get to dungeon. Owl takes more than a few seconds. Yes, that note, and its awkward busywork the way it was handled, though Im sure theres an optimal route the mitigates that but would be something either lucked into or known in advance. You can disagree with my complaints, but you not being bothered by something doesnt mean others cant be. And thats all coupled with a clunky and slow combat system that, while revolutionary, hasnt aged well. OoT was a watershed moment and they nailed the mood, but a heck of a lot of it doesnt hold up at all. None of my kids remotely had the patience to go far with it, despite heavy prodding from my wife fyi (my younger son loved Majoras Mask though, so go figure) and if I ventured a guess a majority of adults who never played it would find it to be a chore of a game if they tried it now. --- Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. |

You can criticize so many aspects of OoT, but the word "pacing" automatically kills your credibility dead in its tracks. The opening is a slog (I am most forgiving of this, though, as the game was blowing minds and had to give people time to adjust, but we're talking about playing in 2024 not in the 90s), the owl kills the pace every time he shows up, the note quest to get past Kakariko was a waste of time, and the general pace of combat is dreadfully slow, just to name a few that immediately pop to mind. --- Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. |

But of the options, Cuba. That actually had some movement to it. Brits would legally block any peaceful attempt for Scotland or NI to leave. Taiwan doesn't want to risk a war or give up their own dumb claims to the mainland. Cuba changing economic models will only happen, if it does, after being open to American trade. Western Sahara is stuck in a permanent holding pattern. China ain't changing as long as they're growing, even recognizing growth has stalled. The Koreas are too different to unify at this point. Greenland would not survive without Danish money, so even if they left the end result would be them joining the US, Canada, Norway, or Denmark again. --- Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, I could care less. |
