Looks ok to me, if it were really bad it would have puffed up and gotten really red by now. But as long as its keeps improving, you should be fine. Keep it clean and keep up with the antibiotics and ointment and wrapping it. If the redness or pain increases AT ALL you should get the next flight to civilization and a hospital asap. If it keeps going down, you should be fine. Not counting any damage to the ligaments that is, I cant see that from a photo.

Final update lol, theres only some minor swelling right around the open wound now, I can move all my fingers properly, and far less pain. I was told to keep it an open wound for a week, so thats why its not scabbed over. So Ive survived and should only be left with a scar and a lesson learned. Appreciate yall

Most of the people that live here were born here, than theres teachers in the winter that teach, and fly fisherman lodges in the summer. An absolute massive salmon run comes here in July so you can catch/filet/and freeze and live off them for the winter!

Just once. Caught a couple 30 inchers while I was there though. Took a floatplane into... someplace called Pedro I think? I love this state so much and there is so much I haven't visited still, I try to take a small trip to a different area once a year just to experience it. Usually in the form of a fishing trip. I'm from Ketchikan originally so I grew up fishing. The last 5 years I've been going on a different charter, did Valdez, Homer, Seward, Soldotna, dip netting the Chitna. I think I was in Iliamna in 2017/18. Probably skip this year and buy some more gear so I can go ice fishing more reliably.

No, I won't. Social media causes directly and indirectly a lot of harm to millions of people. It desperately needs to be stronger regulated and moderated. As long as the companies can't guarantee that, I'm not against speaking out bans. Especially if these platforms come from countries with questionable intentions. It shouldn't stop with Tiktok. Other platforms like Facebook, Twitter or Telegram should also held accountable for tolerating criminal content on their platforms.

Thats the worse place to be bit by a dog or cat. They have tons of bacteria that can be deposited straight into the many many layers of the cartilage in your fingers and knuckles. If not treated immediately it could spread systemically and permanently damage your entire hand. Absolute worse case scenario you could actually die from sepsis.

Thats an extreme outcome but still, its a very serious situation. If it doesnt get better in a few days, or if it gets worse, you should go to the hospital because youll need antibiotics a lot more powerful than amoxicillin and possibly need surgery to properly clean out all the infection.

yeah i split my hand worse than this once and it was fine, just took longer to heal than it would've otherwise. closed the huge skin flap over the wound, taped it up and bandaged my hand. bob's yer uncle. easy peasy.

but yeah with animal bites definitely get some dettol or iso and antibiotics and clean that shit. i had to spend a week in hospital back in august cause of a cat bite, lol
