Aang was 12 (sort of)I can buy that Aang is 12 more than I can buy that Yusuke is 14. Aang at least talks and acts like a kid, he's just entrusted with a huge fate/burden and is relatively mature for his age. Being raised by monks also helps with the maturity aspect. Yusuke talks like a sassy middle aged man half the time. I love it and his (and everyone's) personality is a major part of why I love the show so much, but I just don't but that he's supposed to be 14.
