not trying to come-off as a tin-foiler,
but im legit curious as to the possibility of this being a way to prevent unwanted/unsponsored sensationalism surrounding any war-crimes that u.s. and/or isreal potentially have plans for surrounding all this iran drama lately?

i know that may just be a reach as this bill does have some relevance to it even before the Iran stuff started happening, but who knows if theyre trying to keep the youth distanced from alternate info-sources as to not sour them on the idea of later voting for any of the creeps sharing any involvement with any potential government bullshittery. i have to imagine theyve been trying to devise SOMETHING in response to the fact that younger people arent voting these days, even if it isnt something so extreme or dystopian

It seems to tie in to their attempts to ban TikTok. So far, the bill for that got stalled because Democrats couldn't come to a consensus over it.

It's obvious a lot of the Senators who support it, especially Democrats, haven't actually read through it and fell for the lies that the latest revision fixed some of the issues they had with it.

This is why we need more tech-savvy and progressive adults going into politics. Nothing will change unless the younger generation is willing to fight for the right to take the reins of power.

The Senate heard it, but haven't voted on it yet. It's not looking good for the Senate, though, as over 60 Senators have pledged support for it, enough for it to be filibuster proof and pass, and it's expected to pass there. That's why efforts are being made to target the House instead now, as it is less likely to pass there at this point.

I still cannot believe Elizabeth Warren of all people supports KOSA.

Officers escorted Riddhi Patel, 28, out of a Thursday meeting of the Bakersfield City Council after she repeatedly threatened death toward councilmembers who were weighing a Gaza ceasefire resolution. Patel spoke out in favor of the resolution, but expressed skepticism toward the councils willingness to pass it.

I dont have faith that youll do this, Patel said of the resolution. You guys are all horrible human beings and Jesus probably would have killed you himself.

Patel, who identifies as non-binary, then threatened a violent uprising if council members chose to oppress their constituents.

Patel later addressed the council a second time, expressing outrage over the presence of metal detectors at the meeting.

Aside from me being a foreigner as well, theres another guy who, every few days, talks loud as fuck on his phone in the evening on the sidewalk outside his apartment. Its also on loud speaker and its another woman speaking Nigerian (I think?) really loudly. This is in the middle of the road right near other residential houses.

He also randomly plays church music full blast for like 30 mins to an hour. I don't want to get involved, but I live I think two houses down from the guy so if I hear it, the whole street definitely hears it.

Have you spoken with your neighbors about this?

Its honestly crazy how some folks are saying they are abstaining from voting simply because of Gaza. I dont like whats happening there either, but I at least have the foresight to see just how much worse it will be.

I really dont understand why people want Trump in power at all.

It's likely that some of the more nihilistic folks are from red states and want to drag us all down by discouraging others not to vote blue. If they can't be happy, then no one else should.
