It freaking blew my mind when I walked into a game store and saw it playing 1 for 1 identical to the arcades. That had never really happened before for a contemporary game without some expensive hardware backing it, and even then they were 2D games. $200 for hardware that plays arcade perfect ports? Sign me up. It might not actually be the most technically impressive, but it left one hell of an impression on me.

Pikmin 2 was out there doing things that not just the GC but other systems couldn't do, according to some.

Make sure you get small and/or a mix of bills, WU will want to pay out in the biggest bills, because that's what is easy for them. The bigger the bill, the more chance you don't get your proper change back. The more chance you get a fake bill. Don't just say that Western union will have your back, because they won't. You have to manage your money, full stop.

Glad you're going with a female companion. You can watch each other's backs and obvi you two will together have the instincts to avoid a lot of situations.

I know this is a different time, but the vast amount of data storage that is expected as the norm now gives devs a reason to just not care. There are games that are 5, possibly 10 times as big as they could be if anyone cared about not eating up storage space.

Going back to the N64, it had Resident Evil 2, and they did so mostly through creative uses of data compression. Two PlayStation CDs worth of game on an N64 cart. A Gamecube disc was closer to a DVD in storage than an N64 cart was to two PSX discs by a wide margin.

Edit: Also, RE4 is legit better on GC than PS2, disc space be damned.

I feel like the votes for Resident Evil games is more about the fact that they made PS2 games look weak (which it was, relatively) rather than pushing the GC hardware.

First tip is don't go alone.
Second is don't trust anyone with money exchange outside of banks and the like. That even means cabbies or merchants making change. Counterfeit money is rampant. Have small bills.
Third is that if something falls on you from above, don't accept any help cleaning up. You might get cleaned out.
Fourth is don't trust anyone asking for help, especially if they claim to be a stranded tourist.
Fifth, and this should be obvious, be wary of women in drinking establishments. Don't take a drink offered, don't let your eyes off your drink. This is the biggest reason tip number one is don't go alone.

This is dumb. There is no reason to do this to social boards outside of poor moderation, which clearly wasn't the case here on B8, at the least. Honestly, this seems like a play towards eliminating social boards altogether.

That's exactly what I thought. I really hope I don't have too many more, but the person who was on it with me is deceased. I really hope I don't have to pay back all of his remaining part as well. That would suck.

It told me that it was because of the homebuyer's credit, but not what about it. I was trying to repay the same amount I've paid every year over a decade. The thing it was rejecting on was the question of how much of it I have previously repaid. They know how much I repaid, but no one could tell me. So much time wasted waiting for and dealing with "customer support" to no avail. So I just kept resending until I got the right amount.

But the thing is, it literally does not matter for this year's filing. It won't matter until I repay in full. I thought I was on my last payment, then I figured maybe I have one left next year. Turns out I'll be repaid in full two tax seasons from now.

The US tax system is such bullshit. I got rejected multiple times and I couldn't figure out why and no one could tell me. I had to guess my way into figuring out what I was doing wrong. And the worst part is that the number I was getting wrong changed absolutely nothing about what I needed to pay or what I was going to get in return.

It was close. But Monkey Wrench is just more fun to listen to.

This is a "loved the singles, not the the album" situation for me. There was a huge gap between the top three and number four, and the bottom three all made me want to give up on this one. I understand everyone in the band was going through some shit, especially Dave, and it shows. I definitely felt some of the pain they went through and didn't like it.

I legit never got into Earthbound.

Looking it over, this is hardly the worst design they could have come up with. It's not the most walkable by any means, but most cities have regulations against walkability anyway. If the city requires 1.6 parking spots per residence or whatever, you can't blame them for that. Underground parking helps, but it is massively expensive an clearly the land there is cheap. I hope the construction doesn't drive you mad.

Yeah, the typing makes no sense. Ever tried to kill an ant or a bee with a rock? It sucks. Ever see them hurt a rock? Nope. Both should resist each other if we're being realistic.
