The sandman is my best tv show surprise in a while. I was only mildly interested and it endes up one of my favorite things on tv this decade

soldier boy, butcher, hughie vs homelander at herogasm is amazing. That said, when they have the group to finally beat homelander...
and just fight each other, you can tell that they need to keep homelander alive just for the sake of the show

They literally took thanos who fell in "nobody cared about" and made him bigger than almost any marvel villain

I think marvel needs to realize they need team up projects more often, they help make the universe feel more connected

There may be people out there who like them but I think that ultimately they havent performed in the way they were expected to, which is to bring in and keep enough subscribers to prop up Disney+.

Even if marvel and star wars shows were all great, theres only so many subscribers you can bring and keep with 2 franchises

I know it's only going to be 2 seasons but this is what was so good about Andor imo. Longer episodes, with a 12 episode season that allowed them to focus on multiple subplots/storylines, making it feel like an actual TV show rather than an extended movie

They seem to have only recently realised that if you want to carry streaming service with a handful of shows, people expect a bit more.

I dont think so at all. I think they tried with all of them. All of them have a fanbase...just all of them arent universally loved

Star wars and marvel are two of the biggest franchises in media. Maybe the 2 biggest

That said they only ever give us 6 or so episodes ranging between 30 and 45 minutes. Theres moments they look great, theres moments they look cheap.

Look at house of the dragon, the boys, stranger things, last of us. Those are made for similar amounts but look similar or better, have more episodes with longer run time. Also have better endings to their seasons

This is coming from someone who has enjoyed marvel and star wars shows. I liked wandavision, falcon, hawkeye, moonknight, andor, some of mando and ahsoka....hell even she hulk was enjoyable

Star wars and marvel also make money from other things which a lot of their competition doesnt. Game of thrones has no box office revenue, neither does stanger things.

Disney is a bigger company than netflix, hbo (not amazon)

All of these shows cost 100-200mil but disney gets less out of that budget than its competitors.

It was an interesting movie. Emma stone, dafoe and ruffalo definitely killed it.

Unique but not everything landed. Im glad it went out of its way and showed its sexuality. Was that all emma stone?

Based on the trailer and cast list theres no white men playing a major role in this show, and considering this is a prequel and where the timeline ends up I think thats pretty funny.

Im all for taking it slower. Still need to see The Marvels, Secret Invasion, Echo, Loki S2 and What If S2. Its becoming a chore almost.

Dont watch them. I didnt think any of them were worth watching

And im pretty sure the next thing that is good and needs these projects will summarize them in a line

Tbf, most of those characters have had confirmed follow-ups for a minute. Bucky, Zemo, US Agent, Red Guardian and Taskmaster will all be in Thunderbolts. Falcon in Cap 4. Agatha's spinoff show should be coming this year. And Spider-Man 4 is almost definitely happening.

The only real question marks have been anything related to the Eternals (including Black Knight and Blade, who we have no idea if his movie will ever release) and Hawkeye. I believe Shang-Chi's sequel just got unofficially announced not too long ago.

Thry have confirmed follow ups but it will take 4 years. Captain america, iron man and thor benefitted from appearing every year or 2 years

Ant man doesnt sound bad. He got 3 movies and 2 team up movie roles. 5 appearances total is more than you could ask for with ant man. Wasp also got 4. That and quantumania ended closed enough (which was a problem).

Captain marvel had 2 movies and 1 team up movie role. Plus 2 minor appearances. She also ended on earth and in peace

Eternals got one movie. The movie is left on a cliffhanger, with the team split everywhere and the earth being shaken apart. While this happens an earth sized alien says he will come to judge the earth. This is a rough spot for these characters and the comtinuity of the universe. If not an eternals 2, something here needs to fill in the gap

Both of those will still get future team up roles

Yeah eternals, ant man quantumania and the marvels are their lowedt rated 3 movies and they get the axe. Maybe make better movies

Then theres leader, scorpion and mordo just doing whatever all these years. I'll give characters from 2022 and beyond projects some time to show up

From what I understand the captain america shoots were for action. The celestial part wasnt the issue

Sucks. I liked eternals. I do think it would be best if they were part of some sort of space avengers team before a solo project to get broad audiences into them

There is no reason Sony can't just cast another Spiderman to handle all the villains from the spinoff movies and leave the MCU Spiderman (Tom Holland) in the MCU. Another option is to finally make Amazing Spiderman 3, as Andrew Garfield has already shown interest in coming back.

There must be some behind the scenes deal that states tom can be the only active peter parker. Thats the only explanation for the spiderman-less spiderverse
